Family Blessings

To You and Your Family

From Donna Vail

Today we are preparing for tomorrow’s Thanksgiving feast. We are building our thankful tree, baking breads and pies. Tomorrow we will make the rest, cooking most of the day. It’s my favorite holiday because it is all about gratefulness and spending time with family and friends. We all look forward to doing a lot of cooking, eating, visiting and playing together. Some may even nap together during the afternoon.

Holidays can be easily spent together for some families while for others it may be a strain. People coming together that have different mindsets, ideas and lifestyles, may rise up challenges during the holiday shared. We are all simply living from our own perspectives but being open and seeing the sacred in each person will keep the love flowing. Here’s a special quote I read today and wanted to share with you:

“Learn to turn to each person as the most sacred person on Earth, to each moment as the most sacred moment that has ever been given to us. This moment may never happen again, because no two moments are alike. Are we perhaps awake a bit more, perhaps breathing together with God?” ~ Reshad Feild

May you and your family find that peaceful place where the love can flow. Enjoy your holiday together and many blessings to your and yours.

In loving gratitude, Donna
